Bright Star Community School was born from a powerful belief: “It takes knowledge through quality education to brighten up the star in every human being.”

This core philosophy led Reverend Benjamin Osei of Believers Joyful Ministry to establish the school on February 7th, 2015. Seeing education as a vital part of the church’s social responsibility to the community, he founded Bright Star Community School to fulfill a mission of enlightenment and service.

Humble Beginnings, Rapid Growth

The school’s journey began with a single, dedicated step:

• The First Day: February 7, 2015, with an enrolment of just two pioneering pupils: Afia Antieduaa and Godslove Afrane Duku.

• The First Team: The foundation was laid by Mrs. Abigail Osei, who started the crèche in the family house. She was soon joined by Godslove’s mother, who was appointed as the first caregiver on February 8, 2015.

• Organic Expansion: Driven by its quality and vision, the school grew rapidly. Within a month, it expanded to open new classrooms for KG1 and Nursery, formally establishing its primary educational structure.
